Conference Description
Now in its 7th year, the Blackthorn British Skittles Championship, which is organsied by the Shoot Out Club, is proud to be hosting the Grand Finals at the Riviera International Conference Centre Torquay.
The championship, which has become the UK’s premier skittles event, has over 160 teams from all over the country battling it out in group stages and play-off rounds for the right to appear at the Grand Finals in September.
There are three events: Men's, Ladies and Mixed which offers entrants the chance to meet teams and players from other regions, experience the challenge of playing in different formats, alleys and styles of play as skittles players everywhere bid for the biggest prize in UK skittles. Teams are playing in regional groups and play-off stages, where if successful, will be heading to the south Devon coastline in September to bid for their respective titles. With over 700 people in attendance, 16 skittle alleys and 2 nights of fantastic entertainment, this is the place to be if you love your skittles!
As well as the Blackthorn Championships, Shoot Out Club organises short break activity holidays for thousands of people enjoying a weekend of skittles, darts and many more activities.

The Shoot Club is a unique organisation which specialises in short break activity holidays. Established in 1994, the Club continues to grow rapidly and last season over 10,000 people took part in Shoot Out weekends as members of various sports teams. Venues for the Club are either first-rate hotels or holiday centres situated in some of the major coastal resorts or holiday areas.
We provide Shoot Out weekends for Skittles, Darts and Netball activities. Enjoy good hospitality and great service at one of our many venues.
