From the left you see Torquay's bustling International marina and palm tree-lined promenade. Taking centre stage you see Torquay's HiFlyer, a huge helium balloon that takes visitors 400ft into the air for a stunning bird's eye view of the coastline. To the right, sweeping views of the Bay and over to Brixham, one of Britain's busiest fishing port, before resting on neighbouring Torre Abbey's 9-hole Pitch and Putt.

Our milder climate (our average temperature in January is on a par with Nice) palm trees and cosmopolitan style earn us justifiable acclaim as one of Britain’s top coastal resorts, providing the ideal stress free environment for a productive and pleasurable conference offering a unique blend of work and pleasure.

Being a major resort brings us huge advantages: lots of venues, lots of accommodation and lots of choice! Our conference facilities range from the Riviera International Conference Centre (RICC), a 1500 capacity purpose built conference and exhibition centre, to top 3 and 4 star business hotels and even some of our tourist attractions, like the South West Environmental Park  &Botanical Gardens and Kents Cavern prehistoric underground caves.

There are endless opportunities for free time relaxation too; we have 5 theatres, 2 cinemas, a casino and a wide choice of pubs, clubs and restaurants.

There is a wealth of heritage here too all providing excellent ideas for themeing: historic figures such as, William – Prince of Orange, Isadora Duncan, Isambard Kingdom Brunel, and literary figures, such as Agatha Christie, Charles Kingsley, Rudyard Kipling and Elizabeth Barrett Browning.

Travelling to Torquay

Just 95 minutes from Bristol and you will find yourself in a different world. A world in which work and pleasure join in harmony. Where charm, sophistication and attractions of Torquay provide a positive contribution to delegates’ well being and conference performance
